It is well proven that incorporating live yeast cultures in dairy diets can help increase intakes and promote milk yields. However, the strain and concentration of the yeast culture are key to the success of the yeast in achieving improved rumen function and animal performance.
F1 Yeast is a convenient farm pack that has been formulated with a high concentration of live yeast culture. In order to ensure good product dispersion within a dairy diet yeast must be incorporated into the ration via a ‘carrier’ so that every kilo of diet contains a balanced level of yeast. However, in order to ensure that F1 Yeast remains a highly cost effective way of feeding yeast within the diet the product has been formulated with a higher than normal concentration of yeast, allowing lower inclusion levels within the diet and less ‘carrier’.

| Average Dry Matter Intake | Feeding Rate of F1 Yeast |
| 19kg | 20g |
| 22kg | 25g |
| 24kg | 30g |
| 26kg | 35g |
The liver is a fantastic organ, It has a fundamental role in processing the following nutrients:
So it’s pretty vital then! The livers main role is transforming energy from these nutrients into a form where it can be moved around the body to all the sites where it is needed.
It is also responsible for the synthesis of non essential amino acids, and getting rid of excess ammonia by detoxifying into urea.
F 1 De-Tox contains a full dose of rumen protected choline.
Choline is part of the B vitamin complex and is considered as essential for three main reasons.
Poor liver function can be partially responsible for Milk Fever.
The symptoms include Metritis (whites), retained placentas, displaced abomasums, and slow lactation uplift.
The main cause of these symptoms is well known as a result of not being able to mobilise calcium.
This is regulated by the DCAD mechanism.
However the liver's role in processing selenium and iodine has a direct effect on prevention. In other words If the animals liver is clogged up with fat, there is a higher risk of these related conditions occurring
This is why F 1 De-Tox is better described as a “missing link” in the health needs around calving.
Most Farmers try and feed a good dry cow mineral and a low calcium diet to their dry cows. Unfortunately this alone is not enough health insurance for high producing, modern dairy cows.
F 1 De-Tox will complete the feed management equation and help the cow into a more productive lactation.
Close Up Dry cows and Freshers.
21 days before and 21 days after calving 100 grams per day.
Jersey cows will only need 75 grams per day.
F1 OmegaPro X is a high energy protein supplement. Most
other commercially available supplements based on soya and
rape will provide around 13.3MJ per Kg DM.
F1 OmegaPro X provides 15.75 MJ per Kg DM. This means
that when added to the TMR F1 OmegaPro X will enhance
the energy density of the ration as well as the Bypass protein
levels.
F1 OmegaPro X is a supplement with three clear properties.
F1 OmegaPro X will increase milk yield and maintain a higher, flatter lactation curve when fed in a TMR. It will also stimulate fertility by directly improving the size and health of the eggs of bulling cows, and directly increase the conception rate by aiding implantation of the egg on the uterine wall.
F1 OmegaPro X is a recommended feedstuff for the F1
Dairy Blueprint.
For your copy please call TBA or Lakeland-Scottish using
one of the numbers on the reverse of this leaflet.

Feeding rates for F1 OmegaPro X should be from 0.5 to 0.75 Kg per cow per day.
F1 Pallafat Elite will increase the overall appetite of a cow, (see graph) which will increase intakes and in turn increase milk yields.
Studies have shown that in just ten days milk yields can rise by up to 2 litres per day! It also has been shown to increase yields of butterfat and protein, even in high-yielding animals.
F1 Pallafat Elite will help to maintain cow condition, and in turn the longevity of animals. Less culling, and less fertility, udder and foot problems.
It has also been shown that F1 Pallafat Elite can increase fertility response.
Cows that have been fed F1 Pallafat Elite have exhibited stronger bulling, and higher conception rates to the first service. This can increase the efficiency of a herd, as cows will be served earlier, and less semen straws have to be used.
Another effect of F1 Pallafat Elite is that it can lead to easier calving when fed in the transition period.
| Average Days in Milk | Feeding Rate of F1 Pallafat Elite |
| 0 - 100 | 0.5 Kg |
| 100 - 150 | 0.4 Kg |
| 150 - 200 | 0.35 Kg |
| 200+ | check cow condition |
F1 Pallafat Elite can be top dressed or mixed in to a TMR.
We recommend that you target F1 Pallafat Elite between 0.35 and 0.5Kg per cow per day.
F1 Pallafat Elite gives the full palatability response at 2% of Dry matter intake. So Targeting at 0.4 Kg will give the desired effect. At this level F1 Pallafat Elite will supply enough energy for more than 2 litres of milk.
"A complete and comprehensive supplement for the close up cow."
The close up period is critical in determining the success of both calving itself and the coming lactation. The main priority of nutrition is to avoid the symptoms of both clinical and subclinical milk fever.
The key tasks are as follows:
As calving approaches intake levels drop to around 1% of body weight, just at a time when the cows requirements for energy are at the peak for the foetus and the act of calving itself.
Milk Fever or Hypocalcaemia is a condition caused by low
blood calcium at calving. The symptoms are well known, but
techniques of prevention vary considerably.
The key management issue is not to feed calcium to transition
cows.
F1 TransOmega features a full dose of a transition cow
mineral supplement. This has been designed to minimise the
risk of milk fever.
Sub-clinical milk fever can show up as metritis, retained
placentas, displaced abomasums, and slow lactation uplift.
Subtle symptoms include, sunken eyes, reduced feed intakes,
dropping yields and cold ears (housed animals)
F1 TransOmega will ensure that cows are offered maximum protection against metabolic problems at calving. Will reduce retained cleansing and metritis.
The improved liver function will assist in increasing the availability of dietary energy and the reduction in weight loss by fresh calved cows. This, along with the benefits of continued feeding of F1 OmegaPro X will significantly improve fertility response
This proven supplement is recommended as a vital part of the dry cow package. The F1 Dairy Blueprint recommends that you seek full dietary advice before using this product. F1 TransOmega helps the cow to start her lactation trouble free and will assist in a rapid recovery after calving. F1 TransOmega includes valuable energy precursors in order to fuel the liver and encourage production of body and milk protein as well as milk production
Feeding rates for F1 TransOmega should be 0.75Kg per head per day for heifers and 1Kg per head per day for cows.
F1 TransOmega only needs to be fed to transition cows between 21 days and calving.
Satisfying the nutritional requirements of the high producing dairy cow can be a major challenge, particularly around calving.
Immediately prior to calving and throughout the first few weeks of lactation, dry matter intakes often decrease. As a result feed intake in early lactation is typically insufficient to match the increasing energy demands, and the high producing dairy cow comes in to negative energy balance. In an attempt to correct this unbalance the cow starts to mobilise body fat reserves, turning them into glucose via the liver. This can result in fatty liver syndrome and ketosis. Furthermore, negative energy balance is the primary cause of declining fertility and reproductive performance in the UK dairy herd.
Feeding F1 Elevator immediately pre-calving and for up to 28 days post-calving can help eliminate problems such as fatty liver and ketosis associated with negative energy balance.
F1 Elevator contains:
Benefits of feeding F1 Elevator
Feeding rates:
Close up dry cows: 300 ml /cow per day
Post calving (up to 28 days): 250 ml /cow per day

Product Description
F1 Fresh Start is a fundamentally essential product for all fresh calved cows.
The physical expansion of the rumen to take up the space left by the foetal calf gives two key benefits:
The provision of extra soluble calcium and phosphorus in . Fresh Start allows the animal to reduce the threat from milk fever. Whilst we cannot claim that it is a cure for this condition . Fresh Start will, in most cases eliminate the threat.
F1 Yeast is added at four times the normal daily dose. This has a beneficial effect on rumen micro flora population from the outset. It is well known that double-dosing F1 Yeast in the close up dry period and in the fresher group gives a genuine increase in productivity.
F1 Fresh Start also features the addition of a double dose of protected choline. The choice of protected choline has recently changed to Sta-Chol. This product is double protected and double coated. This valuable source of choline has been proven to enhance liver function by removing excess fat deposits from the liver. We recommend that this dose forms part of a more general program of feeding protected choline to the close up and fresher groups by using F1 De-Tox.
In the event of being unable to feed close up and fresher groups we recommend that you talk to us about alternative feed management systems during this critical period.
F1 Fresh Start is presented in a 15 Kg bucket which most farmers find useful as a re-usable bucket for 20 Litre doses.
Feeding Rates
1Kg of Fresh Start mixed into 2 Litres of hot (65 degrees Celsius water), mixed, and then made up to 20 Litres with cool water. 2 doses can be given to improved effect.
